Fine Mediterranean Dining At Its Best

Mediterranean Kitchen

About Us

Our story began in 1981, when my father and his brother immigrated to the United States and opened Seattle’s first Lebanese restaurant, Lebanon Restaurant.

Following its success, they went on to open several beloved restaurants throughout Seattle, including Byblos Restaurant on 5th Avenue, Kamalco’s on E. Pine Street, and Mediterranean Kitchen in Uptown (Queen Anne).
As the years passed and our fathers retired, our family proudly carried the tradition forward, opening multiple locations across the greater Seattle area while preserving the recipes, hospitality, and values that started it all.

Today, Mediterranean Kitchen in Kirkland is the last remaining location still owned and operated by our family.

More than 45 years later, we continue to serve the same authentic Lebanese recipes, generous portions, and warm hospitality that our fathers built their reputation on. In our culture, we say “Ahla wu Sahla,” meaning “welcome — you’re family.”

From the moment you walk through our doors, we want you to feel at home while enjoying the fresh, healthy, and authentic flavors of the Mediterranean.

"Wow! It was delicious. I got the chicken and rice combo- the flavor was so savory. It didn’t make me feel super full, it was perfect. Also, that lentil soup was phenomenal with fresh pita bread! The owner gave us baklava for our first time to the restaurant. Overall, it gets 5 stars!"

"We drove all the way from Pt Ruston to come check this place out. We were there right when they opened on Father's Day. It's one to have delicious authentic food but to also have great experience with stupendous customer service supercedes everything else. We will definitely come back with our family in tow."

"This Mediterranean kitchen is a true gem! The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care—perfectly seasoned meats, delicious sides, and everything tasted authentic and comforting at the same time. The restaurant itself had a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made the whole experience even better. What really stood out, though, was the service. One of the workers, a very sweet teenage boy, was incredibly polite, helpful, and attentive. His positive attitude and genuine kindness made us feel especially welcome and added a personal touch that you don’t find everywhere. It’s clear the team here takes pride in both their food and their customer service. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving amazing Mediterranean food and a genuinely pleasant dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!"

"Really enjoyed my experience here, the ordering process was easy, convenient and they had a big poster on the wall, door, and check out area telling you "everything on the Menu is gluten free except" and listed the 5 things thats not gluten free like pita bread and baklava. The girls were nice, professional and patient. Answering any questions with a joyful fun energy. Took about 10min to get everything ready and the salad was amazing fries! with garlic and cheese was a large portion and delicious great prices as well."

"Just awesome! We come here a couple times a month, so not all that frequently, but we are ALWAYS treated like a valued customer. Staff is always friendly and attentive. And the food is so delicious and fresh, even the lettuce in a wrap: fresh, cool, and crisp. Amazing!!!"

"Consistently delicious chicken shawarma (best on the Eastside, imo). Generous portions. Reliable service. I bring out of town visitors here or get takeout for guests and they’re always wowed by the food."

"It's been over 10 years since I've been here and it only got better with time. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. My picky eater 8 year old was over the moon with all the flavors from each dish we got. Can't wait to come back into town to eat here again."
